L. Taylor (b. 1990) is a Charlottesville-based artist, designer, and educator. With a foundation in architecture, Taylor brings a spatial awareness and careful craft to all work, ranging from drawing & painting to poetry to architectural design. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Architectural History from the University of Virginia (2012) and a Master of Architecture from Tulane University (2017).
At the root of the work is a deep curiosity in the human condition, and a willingness to explore it through various mediums. Pair this with several years of experience practicing architecture, staging interiors, curating and making art, and what emerges is an attuned sensitivity and wide knowledge base for our relationship to the spaces, objects, and stories that surround us.
A dedicated dance and somatic practice also informs Taylor’s work, centering the wisdom of the body.
