I work in many different mediums - mostly painting, drawing and writing. Each practice has its own way of connecting me to myself and everything around me, deepening my experience of being in the world.

The different practices offer different ways of seeing and digesting the human experience. My role is to engage with them, and to offer what I find/create.

My name is Lauren. Some people call me LT. I trained in and practiced architecture for many years, and before that I studied architectural history.

Architecture is really about being in the world. It’s about noticing and shaping the frameworks we occupy. It’s about directing attention. And, it is inevitably a collaboration with forces much bigger than us, like wind, water, the history of a place, people.

So, I create art to redirect attention - my own, and maybe yours - toward curiosity, interconnectedness, compassion, mystery, delight. Art is both the vehicle and the offering.
